This website is operated by IGCSE Biology ("we", "us"). We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run a tutoring service, and we handle personal data in accordance with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).

What we collect

• WhatsApp enquiries: when you message us, we receive your name, phone number, and whatever you choose to tell us (e.g. your child's school year and exam session). This is the only personal data we actively collect. The site has no sign-up forms and no accounts.
• Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful (pages visited, approximate location at city level, device type). GA4 does not give us your name or contact details. IP anonymisation is enabled by default in GA4.

What we use it for

• Responding to your enquiry and arranging trial and regular classes.
• Class administration (scheduling, sending materials, progress updates).
• Improving the website based on aggregate, anonymous usage patterns.

What we never do

• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing.
• We do not send marketing blasts. You hear from us about your own classes only.
• We do not store payment card details. Payment is arranged directly via bank transfer or e-wallet.

Where your data lives

Enquiry conversations live in WhatsApp, protected by your and our device security and WhatsApp's end-to-end encryption. Analytics data is processed by Google and may be stored outside Malaysia; it is aggregate and not personally identifiable to us.

Your rights under the PDPA

You may ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to stop processing it. Just message us on WhatsApp. We will act on the request within 21 days.

Children

Many of our students are under 18. We correspond with a parent or guardian for enrolment and payment, and we only hold the student information a parent chooses to share for teaching purposes.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with an updated date. Material changes will be mentioned directly to active students' parents.
