The 8-Week Revision Planner (Printable)

Print it, put it where you study, and tick off each task. The strategy behind every week is explained in the full 8-week revision plan guide.

Designed for Cambridge IGCSE Biology 0610 / 0970. Works for both May/June and Oct/Nov sittings.

Week 1

Audit + Cells & Transport

  • Complete the 0610 syllabus checklist honestly. Your unticked rows become this plan
  • Revise: Organisation of the organism (Topic 2) + Movement into & out of cells (Topic 3)
  • Drill magnification calculations and the osmosis definition until word-perfect
  • Finish with 20 MCQs from a past Paper 1/2 on these topics

Week 2

Molecules, Enzymes & Plant Nutrition

  • Revise: Biological molecules (4), Enzymes (5), Plant nutrition (6)
  • Make one-page summaries: food tests table, enzyme graphs (temperature & pH), leaf adaptations
  • Answer two 6-mark questions on enzymes/photosynthesis; mark against the mark scheme

Week 3

Human Body I

  • Revise: Human nutrition (7), Transport in animals (9), Gas exchange (11)
  • Draw the heart and alimentary canal from memory; check against the textbook
  • Past-paper structured questions on digestion and the circulatory system

Week 4

Human Body II + Catch-up

  • Revise: Respiration (12), Excretion (13), Coordination & response (14)
  • Learn the reflex arc sequence and homeostasis (S) as flowcharts
  • Catch-up buffer: clear anything unfinished from weeks 1–3

Week 5

Genetics, Reproduction & Ecology

  • Revise: Reproduction (16), Inheritance (17), Variation & selection (18), Ecology (19–20)
  • Practise Punnett squares and pedigree questions until automatic
  • Write out the carbon cycle and (Extended) nitrogen cycle from memory

Week 6

Past papers begin

  • Sit one full Paper 1/2 (MCQ) and one Paper 3/4 (theory), timed
  • Mark with the real mark scheme; log every lost mark in an error notebook
  • Re-revise the two worst topics revealed by the papers

Week 7

Papers + practical paper focus

  • Sit another full theory paper, timed; review with the examiner report if available
  • Dedicated Paper 6 (or 5) session: variables, observation tables, graph rules, evaluation phrases
  • Drill command words. Know exactly what "explain" demands vs "describe"

Week 8

Final polish

  • One last full paper set under exam conditions
  • Review your whole error notebook. These are YOUR personal traps
  • Re-memorise high-yield definitions (osmosis, active transport, homeostasis, trophic terms)
  • Sleep. A rested brain out-scores a crammed one.
